We tell the dead to rest in peace, when we should worry about the living to live in peace.

What does it mean to rest? Is it finding ways to escape our thoughts, the struggles we need to face, those hard but important decisions that need to be overcome?!

We are fearful. We believe that rest will come after our storm passes. Our body needs to repose. Our heart longs for serenity. Our soul seeks recovery.

We need to rest…and rest in peace.
