Nowadays we hear messages to “be yourself” all the time, but what does it really mean? How do I, first of all, get to know myself…let alone express it to others? And express how? Do I need to know or have a particular skill, talent or creative personality? 🤔

Imagine yourself around ten years ago, being asked to draw something…what would your answer have been? Probably not as terrified as your reaction upon reading this…maybe even quite enthusiastic at having the chance to create something 😉

We’re so used to living by the rules that we’ve forgotten how to simply ‘be ourselves’, how to allow ourselves to create something without expectations, but simply for the fun of it. Next Tuesday we’re going to try an experiment. We’re going back in time to when we were younger, before we learned the rules and felt free to make a mess. We’ll be creating something…and enjoying the process! 🎨🖌️🧑‍🎨

If you have any old newspapers/ magazines or other recyclable materials at home, please bring them with you…anything that is reusable is welcome! Also, if you have any art materials that you like using, feel free to bring them along as well.
